Tom Watson Doesn't Get It

Tom Watson has written this short piece, which plays up the idea that the recent intake of Conservatives are a rebellious bunch. It looks to me like it was written just to justify the "Revolting Tories" headline.

But it does show that his view of politics as being about taking the Party Whip is totally out of kilter with the view of the man in the the street, who wants his local MP to have the right to rebel and wants a system that is less tied to the whip and more tied to individual principles and conscience.

To be fair Tom Watson does have a top blog, maybe he should consider whether there are other aspects where the 2005 Tory intake are more in touch than he is?
