Whips Crack Away

If the stories flying around Westminster are correct, then the Labour Whips are in overdrive haranguing, bullying and coaxing potential Labour rebels into supporting the Government tonight (and there must be a good chance there is truth in the rumours when a mere minion like me gets a call about it!!).

I hope the rebels have the strength of character to do what is right. If they have even the slightest inclination that Blair may have lied to get us into war with Iraq - their duty is to the British people, not to the Labour Party or this horrendous Government.

Tonight's vote is about the primacy of the House of Commons winning over a semi-corrupt whipping system and an even more dubious Government.
