The Polls are right at last!

This has been a really interesting week of opinion polls. On Monday IPSOS/Mori had Labour 2 points ahead. ConservativeHome correctly pointed out that their polls were now too volatile, and as a result removed the IPSOS/Mori results from their very credible Poll of Polls.

On Tuesday their decision was backed up by a Communicate Research/Independent Poll which showed the Tories with a 6% lead (CR are also not included in aforementioned Poll of Polls). Today, the Guardian/ICM Poll has the Conservatives 10 points ahead, with Labour polling 29 - their lowest figure since 1987.

I don't have a clue what the true lead is, but what I do know is; that the abject performance of New Labour; the fact that our Public Services all seem to be having cash crises despite us forking out record amounts of taxes; the fact that Tony Blair has screwed up Iraq totally and utterly by blindly stumbling along with the American line; and that we have the most deceitful Government in history means that the Conservatives should have been miles ahead in the polls for months. I hope that this is the start of something much better.

I should add it is my birthday today. I would like to thank The Guardian and ICM for such a nice pressie.
