Bulgaria and Romania - A Discrimination case?

As I understand it when Bulgaria and Romania are allowed into the EU they will have the same status as every other EU Country - in particular the same as Poland et al. who were allowed in on the previous tranche.

However, our glorious Home Secretary looks set to apply different laws to immigrants from Romania than were applied to those from Poland. It strikes me as a discrimination case waiting to happen. I hope he has been well advised, unfortunately this is the Home Office we are talking about.

Discrimination or not discrimination... nobody cares.

Lawyers will care. If the Government haven't thought this through, they will be waiting to pounce as soon as someone is turned away because of a quota.

And remember - you and me will be paying for the court case.
