Ruth Kelly has no credibility on extremism issues

I have no particular truck with what Ruth Kelly is, apparently, going to say today, I am just not concerned that a Minister that is a member of Opus Dei can have any credibility when talking about the need to deal with extremism.

This organisation still believes that homosexuality is a sin, has had some very, very serious questions asked about how it recruits and has a website which, in its rebuttal of The Da Vinci Code, supports self-flagellation.

Religious extremism in every guise should be discouraged, having a Minister who is a member of Opus Dei in a post with a responsibility for dealing with it is hypocritical.
