SpinBlog: Months Ahead of the Press

I don't normally blow my own trumpet on this Blog (I save it for elections :>) ), but this article is in today's Observer. I wrote this in early February and it has similar sentiments, predicting the collapse of Labour based on local election results of that time and the evidence about the total lack of grass roots support there is within New Labour.

I stand by my prediction at that time, which is that after they fall from power, the lack of an effective grass roots campaigning machine will mean that New Labour begin a slide towards becoming the 3rd Party in British politics. This would be shame, because I have a great deal of time for many of the Labour Activists I have met, they have extremely strong convictions (that are very different to mine) which are being ignored at a National level.

The total failure of Blair to address the issues that the recent local elections highlighted and the lack of guts of other senior politicians to get rid of him can only serve to make things worse.
