The Hypocrisy Code

Ruth Kelly is not doing herself, or her struggling Government, any favours at the moment with her blatant hypocrisy.

Firstly she fails to deny her belief that homosexuality is a sin, when her membership of Opus Dei suggests that she believes it is. She then struggles to convince the world that there is no conflict between holding this view and taking a cabinet post with responsibility for equality.

Today she is exposed for, on the one hand, saying that she wants to end "Nimbyism", only to be exposed for having consistently opposed developments in Bolton, her own back yard.

Yet more examples of why the reputation of New Labour has collapsed.
