New Labour: We'll tell you what to think

This article provides the perfect example of New Labour arrogance.

The BBC did a survey of 1,000 people from England asking if they would accept a PM from North of the border. Of course more than half said they would not - which is really bad news for Gordon Brown.

The New Labour response was to totally ignore and brush aside the evidence and say:

"The people of Britain will pick the next prime minister based on his ability to deliver a strong and stable economy and a secure future."

The worrying thing is not the arrogance of the response, rather that it sounds more like an instruction than a point of view.
