You could be spot on with that prediction.
At some point the Labour party has to face the fact that it will not win an election with Gordon in charge. The local elections will very likely turn out to be a disaster for Labour, and if a second relaunch in the Summer is overshadowed by other events, Brown's number could well be up.
I have a sneaking suspicion he will retire for reasons of "ill health" before the next election.
