David Trimble: A win-win situation

David Trimble's decision to join the Conservative Party is great news; he is a talented and passionate politician who can do nothing except good for the Conservative cause, but I hope it is also a good move for Northern Ireland. David Trimble has a long standing belief that a move towards mainstream party politics will hugely benefit Northern Ireland.

If this is a first step towards that, then Northern Ireland wins too.
