Margaret Beckett Puts Power over Principle

It is suggested that Margaret Beckett was at the forefront of the anti-trident argument in the Cabinet. Apparently it was quite a spat.

More Junior Ministers have put their principles first, even though their Ministerial position has no direct involvement in that policy. Margaret Beckett chooses to stay as Foreign Secratery, even though she will have to vote in support of a decision which has a huge impact on Foreign policy and which she opposes.
