Keeping You Informed

This blog has been resurrected as part of my campaign for election to both Town and District Council in Whittlesey North Ward. In my previous time as a Councillor, I maintained an active blog that helped me communicate with residents, it is something I will do if and when I am elected this time round, starting with the campaign.

It is probably also worth pointing out what this blog isn't and will never be, which is an alternative to Cllr Roy Gerstner's excellent blog. That is an amazing source of information about the various goings on in Whittlesey. There is no point duplicating that, not least because I couldn't do it as well as Roy does. This will very much be about my opinions and activities, with a view to letting you know a bit about the decisions I am involved in and what I think.

Politicians are elected to exercise their conscience on your behalf. Nowadays it is relatively easy for a Councillor to let you know how and why they have acted in a certain way, yet in Fenland and Whittlesey, far too few keep you informed. When I was elected before, I spent alot of time doing this and I will continue to do so when I am elected this time.
