Fenland is letting you down - here's the proof

Today was a very important day for Cambridgeshire. The Mayor introduced and got agreement for his Local Growth Plan. It's a good document which has alot of ambition. I still don't think it is quite there as far as Fenland and Whittlesey is concerned, but Paul Bristow should be congratulated for the work he has done to bring it forward and get some serious consensus amongst the senior politicians in the County.

However, the real disappointment is not in the document, but the lack of contribution from the Leader of Fenland District Council - he never mentioned Fenland or Whittlesey once and, in fact, the representative from Peterborough City Council showed more insight and ambition for Fenland than our own Council Leader did.
