October Election
Apparently Gordon Brown really is considering an October election.
If this is the case, it will have to be called in the next few weeks (maybe at the Labour Conference?), it must also mean that Gordon Brown must have some cash in the bag ready for it. I wonder if it will have come from his contacts in the Smith Institute. I hope so, it will be excellent ammunition for the Conservatives, it is the sort of thing that really could turn opinion during an election.

Yes, Brown would be well and truly exposed if it was the case. Or even simply raising most of the money from rich private equity whizkids - favours for donations!!
The problem though is that all the parties have dirty laundy and so they keep off the battleground those issues where they could be attacked also. So consequently, because each main party has so much dirty laundry, it becomes superficial game of personalities. We need a nice 'forect fire' to clear the deadwood from british politics.
