Blair has done masses for Labour Supporters
After being criticised for doing nothing for grass roots supporters, Blair has responded by claiming he has done masses for them.
Does he mean that whilst he has driven the Labour Party away from the principles its supporters care passionately about, he has more than compensated for this by loading them into cushy numbers on his many quangoes?

A lot depends on how you define Blair's "working people". As a person who runs his own business, Blair has done virtually zilch for me and as a consequence my former employees. Excessive and restrictive legislation hammered the profitability, outsourcing and inshoring all played a part in reducing the business profitability. Then there's the pension crisis.
Though, to be honest, a lot of the issues can be laid at Brown's feet, so maybe he wasn't being too disengeneous when he refered to the Labour Government, rather than the Brownites.
