UPDATE: Rock rools at Eurovision
I would love Britain to win, but it isn't gonna happen. So lets have a rock takeover of Eurovision. Lordi to win. If a rock band wins this year, it could be a mini-Ozzfest next year, Iron Maiden entering for the UK, Rammstein for Germany, Arch Enemy for Sweden, TurboNegro for Norway - how good would that be?
Yes I know - nothing to do with Spin!
UPDATE: After a night of watching Eurovision and Iain Dale's Live Blog in the naive hope that something interesting would happen - it did - Lordi have won!!
Not the greatest Rock song in the world ever - but the presence of a Gene Simmons lookalike with the Lordi contingent in the green room meant they had to win. I look forward to next year's contest (and I've never said that before)!

I didn't know you were a rocker, blogs are quite revealing. You did seem excited about it, judging by your remarks last night
I was wondering whether Turkey's entry was aimed at deceiving us about how modern the country is becoming in its bid to gain accession into the European Union.
It was certainly an entertaining evening.
