No Shock as Home Office gets it right. Update: Wrong again

The row about illegals at the Home Office is yet another example of a nothing story. If the 5 cleaners who were arrested had worked there for some time, or if evidence emerges that others have done so, then it becomes a story - but to create a sensation because the Home Office actually did their job for once is a bit much.

The reaction of the Lib Dems Nick Clegg is a perfect example:

"If even the Home Office is having trouble identifying illegal immigrants in its own buildings, it is no wonder other businesses are struggling."

There is no suggestion (yet) that they have struggled. It's not like the Lib Dems to over-hype a story is it?

Update: It now seems someone at the Home Office was telling Porky Pies and they have worked there before. Now this becomes a story. But I still say the remarks of the Lib Dems were over-hyped and premature based on the information available at that time.
