Don't Let Cherie get away with it

The petition started last week asking for an apology from Cherie for signing a copy of the Hutton report is up to 675 signatures.

Thanks to all who have signed, or linked to it on a Blog.

I am going to keep it going, but at the end of this week I am planning to print off the signatures received and send it off to Downing Street and ask for a response (which I will publish). Please keep letting people know about it - it would be great to get past 1,000 signatures.

The issue seems to have dropped off the media's radar - but it shouldn't be allowed to, for the Prime Ministers wife to capitalise out of the death of David Kelly is a disgrace, nothing more, nothing less. The more people that sign this petition, the more that point can be highlighted.

A number of people have asked why I haven't mentioned Alastair Campbell in the petition. It is a fair point, but in my mind Cherie is more accountable because she is the Prime Minister's wife (and a High Court Judge). Alastair Campbell is nothing more than a tabloid journalist who was allowed more power than was good for him or the Country.
