Tory Leadership - At what point will the Labour Spin machine intervene?
The Conservative Party Leadership campaign now gets into full flow, with our potential leaders getting out and about in the regions talking to party members.
All 3 of the main political parties are going through something of a Leadership campaign at the moment –only the Conservatives are holding theirs in public.
Obviously the Labour Spin machine will intervene at some point and start to run down the candidates by manipulating the press – the question is will the media let them get away with it (again)?
I have a fear that when the New Labour rumours and dirty tricks start the press will lap it up, despite letting Ministers continuously misbehave, abuse their position, abuse Parliament, undermine our Democracy and then return to power when it suits them.
Interestingly the Blair machine is already hard at it, using the likely success of Cameron to undermine Gordon Brown, suggesting that the Labour Party may need to skip a generation when picking its next leader.

Ha ha ha. Why should it "intervene" when the candidates are busy smearing each other and themselves like nobody's business. By the time Charlie Cameron is elected leader he'll be damaged goods.
