Blunkett - 3 strikes and you're still in

This is now the 3rd time that Blunkett has been found wanting.  It is the 3rd time that he has shown an inability to separate his private life from his political career.   So Downing Street’s response is to criticise the press.

Once again the Spin machine are putting the desire to keep Blair’s supporters in the Cabinet above the public interest and above the need to resurrect the reputation of politics in the eyes of the public.

What they do not realise is that the more they refuse to take the correct action in these cases the more fragile it makes Blair and the New Labour project in the eyes of the public.
